Privacy Policy — Sail by Scaler

Chrome extension

Sail is an internal sales-productivity tool built by Scaler for use by Scaler's own sales staff. It requires an active Scaler account and access to Scaler's LeadSquared CRM, and does not function without them.

1. What the extension does

When a Scaler sales representative opens a lead record in LeadSquared, Sail displays AI-generated summaries of that lead's previous sales calls, and helps the representative compose a follow-up message on WhatsApp Web.

Sail pre-fills the WhatsApp message box. It does not send messages on its own — the representative reviews the text and presses send. Sail does not read your unrelated WhatsApp conversations, does not send bulk or automated messages, and does not message anyone without a representative acting.

2. What we collect

From the LeadSquared lead page

Only on in21.leadsquared.com lead-detail URLs:

Lead name, email address, and phone number
The lead's LeadSquared prospect ID

From Scaler pages

The signed-in representative's email address and role
Scaler session cookies (auth_session_id, _scaler_session), used solely to authenticate requests to Scaler's own API

On WhatsApp Web

The phone number of the chat currently open, used to match it to the correct lead and confirm that a tracked message was delivered
Message text that the representative composes through Sail

Usage analytics

Which Sail features are opened, expanded or clicked, and the extension version

We do not collect browsing history, keystrokes outside Sail's own inputs, passwords, payment information, or the contents of pages other than the LeadSquared, Scaler and WhatsApp Web pages listed above.

3. How we use it

Collected data is used only to:

Retrieve and display call summaries for the lead on screen
Generate follow-up message suggestions and trackable links
Authenticate the representative to Scaler's systems
Measure internal feature usage so we can improve the tool

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not use it to assess creditworthiness or for lending decisions.

The extension makes no other outbound network requests. It contains no remotely loaded or executed code — all logic ships inside the extension package.

5. Storage and retention

Lead context and the session token are held in chrome.storage.local on the representative's own machine, scoped per browser tab and deleted when the tab closes. Uninstalling the extension removes this local data.

6. Do Not Track

Sail honours the browser's Do Not Track setting. With DNT enabled, analytics events are not sent.

7. Your rights

Leads and representatives may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data, and may object to or restrict processing, to the extent provided by applicable law — including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and, where it applies, the GDPR. 8. Security

Traffic to Scaler's API runs over HTTPS. Session cookies are read only for scaler.com and are never transmitted to any party other than Scaler. Access to collected data is limited to authorised Scaler personnel.

9. Changes

Material changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date and, where required, communicated through the Chrome Web Store listing.
